sagesse - cool tempo

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

when i first heard the song "zoombastic", i immediately
unplugged my speakers, put on my headphones, turned
the volume to the maximum, closed my eyes and listened
to it again.    ...what a massive track!

with sagesse's "cool tempo" release bankrupt recordings
have definitely choosen a worthy follower to their previous
release by crookram which was featured in here before.
(have a look at it here: crookram - through windows)

also the rest of the cd got a really nice groove, and
mixes hip hop beats with elements from funk, soul,
reaggae, dub and jazz.

so all in all i can say that i'm really looking forward
to what's next on "bankrupt-recordings"!

oh, and by the way, if you also like vocaled hip hop,
be sure not to miss the output of the collaboration
between sageesee & crookram! (look here: bar001 - escape ep)

p.s.:
i decided not to add zoombastic as pre-listen song,
because it needs to be listened with the amount of
bass it deserves and because "no dutch guyana" is
also a very nice track...

have a nice listen!
...and if you like the release, don't forget to leave
a comment or at least give some stars!!

bears in the attic - protein sound

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

once again my time is a bit limited currently,
and so this entry will be very short...
but, i thought this 8-tracks ep deserves an
immediate mention.

on the debut-album of "bears in the attic" you'll
find a bunch of funky-jazzy hip hop tracks which
provide a huge listening-fun!

spinach prince - spinach prince lp

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

a great release if you want to listen to music
while working...
"spinach prince" is a 4-man group which tries to
merge quality-music and lounge music in an
interesting and diversified manner.

on the 45 minutes of the "spinach prince lp"
their music ranges between jazz, trip hop and instrumental
hip hop. created with guitars, drums, woodwinds, bass
and a few samples, none of the songs sound equal, but yet
they flow together in a brisk and calming way.

my favourite tracks are:

01 - deadman´s shoes
05 - hoodrats
10 - rhodopsin

a few words by osenboz:

march seems not to be the most busy month for the
blog, and of course, i'm not happy about it...
but unfortunately my limited free-time currently doesn't
allow me to update the blog more frequent.
i hope it will be better in a few weeks.

meanwhile you need to be patient, and enjoy the
infrequent (but great) releases that will come as soon
as possible.

and for now, i got a really amazing cd which surely
abbreviate the waiting time...

it's the already 12th release on budabeats netlabel, and
i simply need to applaud them for their amazing selection
of free music.
each of the previous releases was amazing... and the latest
one by "crookram" is once again a great piece of music.

i really enjoyed listening to it in the morning while
traveling with the subway, because no matter how tired you
are, it surely will put a smile on your face, and animates
you to nod your head to the beats.

...you can also find this release on bankrupt-recordings

previous releases:
crookram - 19/76 ep
sagesse and crookram - escape, the ep

have a nice listen!

attarus - l´arte di combattere senza combattere

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

finally a non-indie-pop release...
but, i've got plenty of important things to handle,
so don't have alot of time for big words.
so you'll get just an abbreviated version:

"l´arte di combattere senza combattere"

or in english: "the art of fighting without fighting"
is the 4th release of the italian artist attarus.

after a 2-years-brake, he's been back in 2009 with a cd
containing a nice mix of hip hop, funk and soul elements.

...and as he writes on his homepage:
"all this has been inspired by the traditional
chinese kung fu philosophy"

printempo - printempo

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

this time i got something really special for you...

actually i wanted to go to bed a few hours ago....
but then i saw the cover of this release, and i tought
that it might be worth the time...

and damm it, i was right!
it was worth each single second of staying awake!

...i'm quite proud to present you the
debut-release from the polish band printempo!

a 11-track release brimfully filled with innovative nujazz
mixed with some hip hop and trip hop elements.

the tracks are quite relaxing, but there's also a part in it
which seems to force you to listen closly and let the music
crawl into your mind.

unfortunately the whole introduction-text is in polish,
so i can't give you some detailed information...

but yeah... music says more than words

klitbeats - a thing or two

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

there are only 10 releases on budabeats yet...
but there's a reason why they don't have so much cd's
they only add absolutely high-quality releases!

...same on their latest release "klitbeats - a thing or two"

this time they brought to us the new 7-track cd from
"robert von klitzing"
the frankfurt based dj/producer took instrumental hip hop, funk,
downtempo, a bit of jazz and some lounge-music and fused them
together to a great release.

each time a new track starts, its a bit different to the one
before, but all tracks work together perfectly and provide a
relaxed and diversified chill-out soundscape.

unfortunately the release takes just 27 minutes, but there are
still 9 other releases on budabeats which wait to be heard...

my favourite tracks are:

02 - a thing or two
07 - gemeinsam

bulimic orgy (ft. mile) - dairy plant

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

sorry for the long waiting time... but i had alot of things
to do the last days.

anyway, now i got time, and i'm very happy to be able to introduce
to you the new release from bullimic orgy (ft. mile)

once more they put together a cd with great tunes to chill out
and relax. 15 tracks for watching the raindrops fall down
on a rainy autumn-day.

in comparison to their latest release (sawmill gang anthems)
they left behind the scratchy beats and focused more on the
straight tuneful ones. no abstract melodies, rare vocals, just
a bunch of chilled vibes and catchy beats.

if you got a few hours to hang out, and you don't know
what to listen to... try this one!

my personal favourites are:

03 - raindrops in your hair
07 - look at the stars
12 - midnight masqerade

suhov pres.: jószomszéd - az ajtó (instrumental)

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

the fist thing i did after unpacking my backpack was,
to check out the email from "suhov".

there wasn't alot of information in it.
just the name of the band (Jószomszéd), a short introduction,
and a list of the members and what they're doing:

saxophone,clarinet: giga
guitar: kosta velcsev dejanov
violin: zuzu
scratch: dj globe
producer,mixed and mastered by: suhov

after reading this, i thought that this could be one of those releases
which i am searching for all the time. something to relax, to sit
around with some friends - talking, joking, discussing and listening to
some smooth, discreet beats in the background.

when the first track had finished, i knew that i was right.

this release is filled with 13 tracks of absolutely finest
instrumental jazzy instrumental hip hop-tunes.
it manages to kick away all the stress of life within a few seconds,
but it still animates you to smoothly shake your head to the beats.

my favourites are:
01 - az ajtó
03 - nyitott tenyéren
05 - csak a napra
08 - úton útfélen
12 - csak az olvassa

...but i didn't manage to listen to just those tracks so far...
whenever i started listening to jószomszéd it ended up with
listening to the whole album.

flow inc - controlled variables

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by the thief:

you know the hip hop in radiostations, you know it on tv screens.
but what you'll hear, when you pull the play button and listen
to flow Inc's EP "controlled variables", that's different,
that's like a new way on your known music maze.
the sound is very innovative, but it reminds also a little
bit of dj krush and dj shadow. 34 minutes round turn trip.
i listened to this album and i felt weightless,
i zoned out with my mind.
the beat is harmonious, the air floating.

musing, deep and abstract, here comes the incredible ep
"controlled variables" from flow inc.
feel the vibes in your vein, let the beat break your time.
the dialogues in his tracks are very good selected and
affirm the profounding sound from flow inc.

michael anthony ross created a fantastic album, with many facets
of our society. listen to this album and enjoy track by track,
chill to the sound and let flow inc into your mind.
